bathtub painting

So I have a claw foot tub I'd like to paint. There some paint on it already. Im going to sand it with some 100 grit, then I want to prime and paint it. My first question is I want to use Kilz primer (oil), can i use the exterior? Also If the answer is no.. can I use SW latex primer then top coat with oil. I know I can go oil primer then top with latex.. Thanks so much for your professional help.

No
What you are proposing won't work
there are some other coatings that might work, but they are best left to the pros...uh...specialists
-I'm not being arrogant, as I am not one of them
There's no paint that will work well
Some modern modified epoxies will
Those pro tub guys, they can do some great stuff

I did one in my house about 10 yrs ago(the outside). Just sanded it smooth and rattle canned it (krylon I think). Still looks great... Doesn't see much use as it's in the guest bath.

There are tub restoration pros that have spray epoxies that do a great job and hold up for years. I have seen $40 DIY kits that come with cleaner, sandpaper, epoxy, rollers, etc., but I wouldn't trust them.
