haven't used it yet, though I've heard of it...it would really have to be worth it for that price though

I have one and it's garbage. It matches colors maybe half the time if you're lucky. BM has had alot of problems with their color matching and has even recalled these because they didn't work, period. Save your money!

Re: B M Color Palete Hand Held Device

talked to my paint rep. about them, he basically said the same thing as Paint Pro, they don't work so great even when its working correctly, and if you drop it once it's ruined, and it comes with practically no warranty. I decided not to buy one. Hopefully they'll come out with something similiar that works better and is more durable, it would be a valuable tool.

Ditto. I tried it on a BM color deck, and it matched maybe 6 out of 10.

Wow! You woulda thunk that they'd test their own color deck before putting it out on the market.

I think it's one of those things where they put it out to see how it does. People get back to them and give feeback and then they work out the quirks. It probably works out good for BM...they sell a lot initially, then work out the quirks, make it even better and sell to the same customers again
