Anybody try this roller?
I know everyone hates Wagner, but look at this roller frame they put out, looks a lot like the Wooster frame I have in design, but with an interesting feature:
link
Has anyone tried it?

...sorry, couldn't get past the Wagner logo to watch the vid
It's not that everyone hates Wagner, it's that Wagner produces cheap, ineffective, products to be sold to DIYers for one job and one job only
Even when they address a specific concern of DIYers -or Pros- about an aspect of painting, the product will always fall short in several other categories
They simply are not in the business of making and selling quality tools for painters
I'd like to give them another try with something, but I turned off the neon "Schmuck" sign attached to my forehead a few years ago

Ya, i understand what you mean.
But the way I look at it, sometimes even bad companies will make a unique product that no one else has that would really help.
Only I would like some other poor "schmuck" try it before I feed my money to the monster.

Good Point
Like "Original Kilz"
Not a bad product, actually it's good for what it is/does...works just fine
It's the rest of the Kilz line-up (which came later to capitalize on the "Kilz" name) that stinks on ice

the click-and-drop feature will work good with the rejuv-a-roller that I'm looking at purchasing.
It would make for a nice and clean transition.
Couldn't see myself trying to knock the bar against something while the roller was is in the rejuv-a-roller. Or after knocking it having to pick it up and put it in and making a mess.

it looks kinda cool--wonder how strong it is, what is costs, and if it takes normal roller naps--if so--it seems like it could be alright
if you get one, let us know how it is after rolling out a few dozen rooms

I saw one at Lowes, it has the universal thread on the bottom.
I'll buy one, and eventually two if i like it.
For 12.99, I'll take one for the team (Wagner, just like going home with the fat ugly chick).

Do you mean the Wooster Sherlock?
With the quick release and almost indestructible cage that you can drive your truck over and not break?
Yes, painterofeveryt, they are very nice tools and affordable too

How much is wooster paying you to post here?
Wagner is only giving me a $100 per post, are you getting more than that?

That roller looks ok. I can see me somehow hitting the release & messing something up.
In the end though it wouldn't fit my extension poles, and I just put a bag on my nap & pull it off anyway to wrap for "just incase" till I exit the job.

Same here, i just wack it on my hand. You have to keep your frame clean though.
I'm still using the yellow "longarm" poles. It took a while to get used to two buttons, but it sure is handy in tight places to just snap off the roller, do the deed, and snap it back on.

I know I have the wooster, and I do the same thing.
Really the only reason I got it was for my rejuv-a-roller (still shipping).
If anyone is interested I got the roller today. It came with a roller cover (threw it out). I picked up the Wooster Frame and the Wagner, and the Wagner is a lot lighter.
I rolled a little paint on the wall, and it goes on really smooth. The roller pops on and off really easily. My only concern is the handle looks to be two separate pieces of plactic popped together.
It seems like only a matter of time before they split. Thought I would address the problem before it happens. This is what God invented duck tape for.

There goes your $100.00 a post from Wagner and your warrantee... you just admitted that you modified the product. Now you'll never get your $12.99 back if it fails.

Thanks for the review
You've already duct taped the handle?
You want to wait until (if) it does split?

Dude, if they gave money back when their stuff failed, they would be out of business, lol.
