Anybody Ever Use Farrell Calhoun?

I decided to try them out today and bought two gallons based on the recommendations of my dad who used them for years. I usually use SW, and am happy with them. So I bought these two gallons of pure white. The pimple face kid gave them to me right off the shelf from behind the counter, I paid for them and went to work.

When I started painting I immediately knew I had a problem as it was reallllly not covering at all. I mean, I was painting pure white over just a slight, slight shade off white. Virtually no color change. I know it was something PM 200, or 400 would have had no problem covering, at all. But this crap was like whitewash. I mean, no coverage. I got pissed cause it should have been a one coat job, no problem and poured back up and took it back. Come to find out, they said they were supposed to tint it just enough to thicken it up so it would cover(not enough to change the color). However, they said I was the first complaint of this sort with this particular paint and had been selling it straight off the shelves without adding anything.

Well, they gave two more gallons with the tint in it and sure enough, it covered like a dream and seems to be an excellent paint. Has anyone else come into this with Farrell Calhoun interior premium satin 670? Does anyone know were I could find different tests for paint quality? They claimed today their paint has a higher acrylic content than SW PM 200, but I don't know about that and would like to see for myself -Nathan
