$50.00 a gallon. It does cover in one coat on most colors. We did a blood red color over a white block wall in one coat. Plus touch up. after that I was sold. We have done 6 jobs in the last 2 weeks with aura. All were one and done except a yellow over a dark beige, that was a two coater. talk about a time saver. Worth every penny.

Used 5 gallons when it first arrived on the scene.
About a year later I revisited the house I used it in, I saw no reason to further waste my clients time...or money.

LOL @ Duration interior.
Sherwin Williams is known for repackaging their products and jacking the price.
Duration is no better than Super Paint, however it does offer a "matte" finish.

just interested, havent used it myself as there is not a local Ben Moore here but have wanted too and thought you could share more info since you have experience with it. Is the $60 price the only bad part. Most people think Duration is high here, but I think it has helped me make alot of money by doing less labor. Is Aura better.
Also I think Cashmere is more like Duration then Superpaint but your right about SW repackaging everything, the managers will tell you that everytime they get a new product its really just such and such.

I tried it, at home first. Had no issues with it. I covered a deep olive color...painted by previous owner, one coat, frostine. I thought it saved time. If you are paying$60.oo per gallon that seems high; if I am not mistaken I think it was $52.00 not a huge difference but would definately add up over a year.

My problem with Aura is the price, I refuse to spend that much $$$$ on a wall paint. I wonder how many unopened cans of wall paint are currently sitting in my bone yard; throw in a couple of 60.00 gallons and I just may go nuclear

if you think 60 a gal. is alot... wait til you get a client that requests using fine paints of europe!! it's $95 for about 2.5qts so that's about $170 for a gal!!!

Pantone carries their products, I would LOVE to find a customer that could afford to paint the entire interior with that "liquid gold".
Anywho it isn't that the paint was bad, I just cannot justify the cost if the Aura line does not apply itself and clean my brush and rollers afterwards.
I can think of 5 other products that offer the same if not better results for a price that won't get my bid tossed into the waste basket before I even get to my van...

Re-painting is all I do. Lets take a light yellow color over a beige color. If I spend 60.00 for a product that will cover in one coat. One and done cya. If I had to apply 2 coats of the same color with a different product and buy 2 gallons at 30.00 that still equals 60.00 plus I don't pay for the second coat. More time and labor. If I were doing a new construction job, than I probably would avoid using Aura.
I was just looking for some input on how painters like it. I know it is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Thanks Guys
