Re: Another Job Lost To A Low Bidder

Holy Crap, the union got me again.

I just bid a parking garage restoration project that consisted of 97,000 square feet of walls (2 color) 1,200 linear feet of guard rail - blast and 3 coat painting process - 90 man doors: blast and 3 coats and some other misc. items.

I was just over $100K along with 2 other companies wile a union painting contractor submitted a bid of $43K after he was told to take another look at his numbers.

Is this the work of Obama????

lol, I don't have an excuse for being misunderstood. I put all bids in categories, I am 100% on certain type of prospects since I started the one call close and knowing that I am able to keep closing them. On these fishing commercial bids I bat about 5%.
