Re: Am I In Mexico Or Tennessee

this is an incredibly "provocative" and "inflammatory" subject. If this were my bulletin board or if I were a mod/admin I would be worried that this was going to turn in a direction that would not be within the guidelines.

Illegals in the painting/decorating business hurt US and our customers. We need a solution for US, not for the whole ILLEGAL issue. If you want to get political I could rant for a few pages, but then this thread would be shut right down.

So, may I suggest that we not be inflammatory and keep the discussion on illegals and the PAINTING/DECORATING industry and how we can solve it (or how it affects us). That way Nathan and his henchmen (just kidding) won't be tempted to shut us down.

I know so many GOOD painters who are not getting business because the GC's and homeowners want to save that penny or two. I know some who need to "consider" hiring illegals to be competive. Now that is just WRONG.

Re: Am I In Mexico Or Tennessee

I think we need to enforce OUR laws. If someone is in the country illegally, then they need to get deported! That is THE LAW! I know... I know... the poor people who have been living here illegally for 20 years...

I just don't get it. Recently, we had a guy arrested for drunk driving who killed a family. I guess we should let him go. I mean, he's been driving illegally for 20 years! Besides, if we put away all the drunk drivers... who is going to paint our houses? lol... * Sorry... just couldn't help that... lol
