Aluminum porch cover

Hello everyone, new to this site, but not to painting.I have a question regarding priming and painting aluminum porch awning covers. What would be the best primer and paint to use on a poor condition aluminum awning patio cover.Cant spray it because it is very close to the neighbors on both sides.Need something that will level out nice with a brush and look smooth. Thanks

Ive done a few like that, do you have a Porter Paint store near you?
They have Glyptex rust inhibitive metal primer, topped off with Glyptex urethane gloss enamel, this should give you a nice slick surface.
