Sorry guys for throwing this brush question in this thread I thought I was starting a new one. Yes Sean he suggested what you said. He also stated if the heel gets to built-up from paint to hang the brush over some lacquer thinner and let the fumes loosen up the paint.

ya i don't clean purdys with a whire brush either . the cheap metal hilts they use bend then you brush is punched . I do clean other no so cheaply made brushes with a wire brush with out a problem . last about 4 to 6 months on a daily use
