Acid Stain Finish Question

Ok, so I am helping my folks do a little remodeling before I get completely busy and have to put them on the back burner. So they have a sunroom on the back of the house with a brushed finish on the crete. I wanted to slate tile over it but my mom likes the look of the acid stain. Is the finish going to look decent with the brushed crete? I have never seen this done, nor heard anyone discuss it. Maybe I live in a vacuum ! Heck, it has brown astroturf carpet now so anything has to be an improvement!

Re: Acid Stain Finish Question

Brushed finish, like broomed? Acid stain will take on anything well as long as it's not screed smooth.. but broomed finish? I wouldn't do it.

www.smithspaint.com It is not a acid, but rather like a dye and much easier to work with. Even with the best prep of an acid stain it can still go wrong.
