Well Equipment Code?
I am looking at relocating my well equipment (motor starter and disconnect) and it would be really convienent to put it in the crawlspace. I have about 4 vertical feet to do it there. I know about the 110 reference about the height of workspace but that pertaines to service equipment, panelboards and MCCs and does not specifically list disconnects and motor controllers. I cant find a place were it prohibits such placement. I feel kind of dumb being a card carrying electrician and not knowing if I can do this or not.
Any thoughts? |

Will the disconnect be completely visible while servicing the equipment, or will it be obstructed, even partially? My understanding is disconnects can not be obstructed or even partially obstructed, like being put partially behind a condensing unit, you need at least 3' clear space in front of it. |
