recessed lights

Hello sparkys i got a quick question for you. i just bought halo cans that are allowed to be in contact with insulation does that mean they can touch the plaster ceiling above? i assume they can but i just wanna make sure. thanks guys

IF it is "IC" rated it can come in contact with the insulation as well as touching the ceiling above.

thanks tangi. yes it is "IC", had to take the thing apart to see the top of the sticker.
