You know that black loop stuff, umm split loom i think, just cover all the wires in that then they are protected...doesnt that meet code?

The Carlon conforms. I do not like to use it for ANY application. Except maybe my DVD/Home entertainment system!!!! Certainly nothing line-level.

Strapping is that thing they do in the North North East where they furr down every ceiling with 1x4 and they think it holds the outside walls better. It actually opens up areas for fire drafting and doesn't provide for 1.25" of wire protection anyway.
