Re: Stains In Pool (Pictures Included)
Hi Sir MixAlot,
I just had this same issue happen to me yesterday. There are brown stains at the bottom of my pool and the around it. They look the exact same and I know it was due to the fertiler it actually fell out of my hand. How long did it take for it to be completely gone? Did you use anything that helped remove it faster? Which disappeared first inside the pool or around it? Thanks for any info. -

Re: Stains In Pool (Pictures Included)
Just did a pool job, and decking. Similiar spots showed up, turned out to be Muriatic Acid that was used to prep, and not rinsed off enough. Answer was to etch it again, and rinse off properly.

Re: Stains In Pool (Pictures Included)
These are definately from fertalizer. There is a product called a "Spot Eraser" that you can put on the end of your pole that will take these stains off the plaster without harm to the plaster.

Re: Stains In Pool (Pictures Included)
You can try to reverse ph (an in pool acid wash) however if you've never done it,you can damage the finish. As another poster pointed out, Jacks Magic sometimes works. Read and follow the instructions and have a stiff wire pool brush handy. (acid poured down a pvc pipe held over the stain can work if chlorine does not, but again dilute it 50-50 and be careful). If no luck, in Lauderdale I had dive tank and used stone which usually worked, especially if its only a surface stain. Duck poop WILL stain your pavers so its possible to have a dual problem, but I doubt that because of the palm food near that particular area.
