In Ground Pool Liner

I'm hoping someone can help with this. Here goes, We have an inground about 12 x 40. We had a new liner installed professionaly about 6 years ago. Hear is the problem or problems.....I've noticed over the last 2 years several air pockets under the liner in the shallow end. What could be causing this and how can I remedy the problem. Also, last year by the end of the season the liner was pulling away from the side of the pool wall. There were 2 spots about 7 - 10 inches long. When I uncovered the pool last night there were 8 spots where the lining is slipping out of the groove and each of these is about a foot long. Is there a way to fix this and prevent it from pulling in the future? Is this a common problem, was the liner installed properly etc? By the way the person that installed the liner sold his business and is now partnered with a larger company. I cant even get him to come look at the pool. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Ray's your man for this one ... i believe this area is his forte

has the water level dropped???

offhand - i'd say there's a tear and those "pockets" are not air, but water

did they use a shop vac when they were installing liner/filling with water???

first i'd check for any tears/leaking

Re: In Ground Pool Liner

The water level has not dropped. I have inspected the lining for tears, rips etc and can find none. I was not present for the intall so I cannot say if they used a vac or not. We actually had no problems other than the lining pulling away before last year. The guy that installed the lining came back the year after and fixed an area where the lining had pulled away from the wall. Perhaps it is h2o and it is filtering behind the lining where it is pulled away from the wall.

Re: In Ground Pool Liner

1.your not properly caring for your pool. allowing h20 to rise & floating bead out of track

2. you have drainage problems, & allowing h20
to pool between liner & panel

your liner is 6 yrs old this is not an installation issue.
