Downside To Excavating A Pool During Site/pad Excavation?

Starting a new project soon, building a house on good load-bearing rocky soil at the top of a little knoll. There's a lot of grading to level the site so will have a dozer and excavator on hand for a while, including some breaker bar work to clear out a patch of volcanic rock where a crawlspace is going.

Since I'm going to have the equipment on site, I'm thinking about digging out the pool at the same time as we shape the pad; it will save a couple bucks and, more importantly, I won't have any heavy vibration work after the house foundation is in place. Is there any downside to doing the pool excavation 9-12 months before the pool gets formed and poured (by someone else, that's obviously not my thing)?

New to this forum, most sites (understandably) don't like cross-posting. Should I have posted this in the "Site Work/Excavation" subforum? I assumed Pool = Landscape but ??
