Commercial Pool Bid?
I have been doing residential for 3 years now I have 63 pools that I do year round. I would like to get out of the residential and get into commercial pools.
Does anyone have a sample pool bid that they could email me or tell me how you figure up the price you charge for service. How do you charge per trip or monthly? I have 2 pools that I have my eye on and have an inside connection with management just need to get a bid together them. One is 125,000 gals the other is 55,000gals both have restrooms that will have to be cleaned and the big one has a party room. Thanks in advance for any info. |

Re: Commercial Pool Bid?
Good Biz plan! Residential is dead.
We typically have to bid each project as an individual due to most of the architecturals calling out different equip. spec.'s and chlorination systems IE..ORP, Brominators, play equip, handicap lifts etc..Example, typical pool bottom is not typical in commercial. I am bidding a public park pool where they are asking for a 4000 psi 4" thick concrete bottom, then 3" min. of shotcrete over that. Be careful with these things and review the plans in detail. Also be sure to put exclusions in your bid like deck drainage tie-ins etc..Cause they'll hold you to stuff like that. |

Re: Commercial Pool Bid?
Thought you were talking about construction! My fault.
SERVICE.....Depending on the area (nice area or bad area) should determine your bid. Bad areas tend to bring riff raff and lots of S**T in to the chemistry IE..detergents and such and will effect the balance. Look at the chlorination systems first assuming there automatic, thus saving time and money. Out here, a three stopper a week goes for about 450.00 a month. |

Re: Commercial Pool Bid?
OP -
Commercial is ... hmmm ... a different ballgame. While possible - I don't think it's something that you just want to "flip" into overnight, simply because residential is lacking. If anything else - just the regulations are daunting if you are not experienced here. UNLESS you have the experience, etc and you know what you're doing. Aside from the regs ... the equipment sets make you feel the size of a matchbox car ... and you'll add an additional zero to everything that you do commercially, that you did for resi (just kidding - don't just go adding a zero ... but it'll seem that way) I, too, would like to get into commercial ... not because of the economy - but just because it's always been part of my Grand Plan. I'm not ready for it yet though ... Just know your stuff |
