Best form of advertising for the pool business

Besides word of mouth, whats the most effective form of advertising that you guys do.

The internet has been great for us. It took awhile, but we come up on the first page of google and yahoo pretty consistently for popular keywords.

Do direct mailings work for you guys? I thinking of purchasing a targeted list from infoUSA and sending out postcards. Or would a well written letter be better? Does anyone know of a way to get a list of current in ground pool owners?

They just filed for chapter 11. Over 100 employees down to just 6. They are doing the right thing and trying to get the 50 or so pools finished that are under contract. Builders down south are doing pretty bad as more people get loans to purchase pools in the south.
