Add-On to Pool Service Biz

Just curious, what some of y'all might be doing for add-on service to pool cleaning.

Running through a bunch of ideas, just not getting anything to stick. Want something that will generate decent revenue, at the same time not have to take on a whole lot of expense.

Some ideas I've had, outdoor kitchens (too much to take on, too much involved, almost a whole other business), pool party service (would it sell? or is this something they would more likely use a party planner/caterer for?, would it generate enough business anyway?), installing accessories/toys, etc.

Just wondering any ideas what other people are doing or have thought about doing?

What do you offer from there? Aside from replacing a pool light here and there, etc....What type of repeat services?

Just a note along these lines for the pool builders out there. There's not many contractors working with pool enclosures and the few that do charge out the wazzuu. With Lexan and polycarbs it's pretty cake install if a fella knows a little.

Yes. Have a buddy that's teaching me the trade.

This is more to help him with his biz, just trying to get some ideas. We've been kicking some things around, just curious what others in the field are doing or have done.

Bob - those enclosures in Florida are a pretty good business to get into. There really aren't that many of them as you would think - especially when everyone in Florida gets one ... when the hurricane (can't remmeber name) hit several years ago - people were put on waiting lists up to two years.

once pool season hits though - ya only got time for one thing - buildin pools.

Are ya lookin for construction/instalation ad-ons or repeating services annually. I work for a service only company and bank on repeat openings\closings (Canada) and weekly service. Leads to alot of repairs and equipment replacement and the customer always calls the first name that comes to mind before looking up a number.

And Rusk, if ya sent a pm I didn't get it. Sorry man but if there's anything I can still help with please try again. Plan to be on a few times a week checking up.
