Refridgerator Panels for Kitchen

Hello,

I need a little bit of advice here. I purchased some 30" refridgerator Panels from Mills Pride for a job and I have the refridgerator on an end wall and have put the panels on both sides with the 24" deep box above.

The base cabinets are 24" which makes the panels stick out 6 inches past the base. It looks a little strange because I have seen some people shave these 83" tall panels to 24" inches wide(from 30"). Then the refridge sticks out 6 inches from the panels.

Should I just leave the refridge panels at 30" or should I shave them to 24"

Don't have much experience with these so any help would be awesome!

I'd say rip the panels down to 24". The frig sticks out regardless so make it look good with the lowers. Besides, someday the HO might buy a counter-depth frig and then the panels would be too deep

i would leave them at 30'' , pull the cabinet over the fridge flush with the panel, so the customer can reach it, if a countertop hits one side, you dont want the corner of the counter hanging past the panel, you dont want the fridge sticking out past the panel, most likely if this is a mills pride kitchen, the customer is not going to buy a sub zero, or equal in the future.

Thank both of you very much for this suggestion. I wonder why they sold me the 30" panel then and that was the only panel that they sold. Yes, I got a deal on the Mills Pride (18 cabs for $900) so I figured why not dress it up a little. This is for my apartment house flip.

Anyways, I appreciate the suggestions very much and would be out in the dark if it was not for you guys. Any other suggestions would be great

Frigidaire, Maytag, Whirlpool, etc all make counter-depth refrigerators that are under $1500. I was not speaking of the fancy built-ins like Viking or Sub Zero.
I meant the chances of getting a new frig are more likely than replacing the cabinets eventually. So error on the side of caution IN CASE.
