Quartz Vs. Solid Surface Kitchen Countertops
Does anyone have any insight to which surface is more preferable? I have looked into Silestone and Ceasar Stone, then into Bionenne (a "green" solid surface similar to Corian) and got the basic differences, but does anyone have personal experience they can share?

Re: Quartz Vs. Solid Surface Kitchen Countertops
Quartz and plastic resin counter tops are totally different animals. Quartz is practically indestructable. Resins give you other options such as integrated sinks instead of undermounts. Around here quartz outsells resins I would have to guess 10 to 1.

Re: Quartz Vs. Solid Surface Kitchen Countertops
I agree, I think the Solid Surfacing, while having a few benefits, is going the same way as cultured marble....
You can put a hot pot on quartz - not s.s. You can cut on quartz - not s.s. No staining, No cracking - I think its the way to go (or real granite) |
