MDF for bathroom built in

Has anyone had a bad experience that would steer me away from using MDF for built in (open)cabinet in a bathroom?

There is a water-resistant version on MDF out there...I think it goes by the brand name MEDEX...We used it in a shop I worked at...heavy as hell.
