Down Draft Vent


I don't know why joasis closed my question, since it was only my second post or because he thought it was a dumb question. But I will ask again. Has anyone installed a down draft vent with a range not a cook top in a island? If so what brand and how deep was the wall? I am a contractor , but I have since posted the question on DIY, maybe they will be more helpful than joasis. Thanks
