White Wash Brick Fireplace

I need some help with a fireplace remodel.

This is what they currently have

They want to change the dated tile and want a white brick. Like this

Not sure if it would be best to paint a normal thin brick veneer or if I might be able to get something like a backsplash tile on a mesh?

Thanks in advance

Get the Boral thin brick, paint it white. Use SW Loxon for the primer.

Would I need to wait 14days for the grout to set before I could paint?

Sherwin Williams recommends at least 7 day cure.

Re: White Wash Brick Fireplace

Found this today at my supplier while I was picking something else up. About half the cost of the thin brick and with off white grout there will be no need to go back and paint
