Hey gents,
Been playing around with buying a new snapper as my current one doesn't do 24" length and costing me a lot of time with grinder cuts on the length.
Was looking around at contractors direct and came across this name that I haven't heard much about. Thought maybe you guys may have some insight?
I use nothing but tomecanic......guess it's what you start out with. You should know the company was recently bought and cutting head is not the same as the old style. Don't know if it's an improved snapper or not. It looks a little more plastic than my old style one.
I love mine.....you can make some long cut with those things. I've always got mine off craigslist.....never paid more than a 100 bucks.
If you do buy one you might ask if it's an older style cutting head.
I just looked on contractors direct and the head does look like the supercut I'm using.....my bad. Don't know where I saw the one that looked different.....you would like the tomecanic.
There are a ton of threads on snappers on ct. Everybody has their favorite.
Thanks for all the help guys. Went to my local tile store here yesterday to get some more clips for RLS and they have the Rubi TS66 on clearance for 270. The same size Sigma was 400 so I couldn't say no. Wasn't going to buy a cutter but from what I gather that's one hell of a price.
Appreciate all the input!
