If she doesn't trust your opinion and you are the professional, might be time to have a chat with regarding your qualifications if she continues to spec materials she should do the job herself.

You can explain to her that hardibacker does nothing to add structural support to the floor for her porcelain tile. It sounds like a typical misinformed customer. Politely ask her where she heard about using 1/2 inch on the floor. Then you can educate her. |

Install 1/2" as per her request. when tile doesn't meet, tearout the rest of the floors and install 1/2" and tile.

I'm very disappointed in you today. This thred waz geteeng mor better az it went alonng. I hav ben flouteeng mud fur yeerz and thot I waz miseeng somtheeng.
I strongley rekomend flouteeng the 1/4" and seteng the tile with supper gluu. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() .......... ............................. |
