New Vanity Top In Tiled Bathroom
I am replacing the old formica laminated top on a bathroom vanity with a new Corian unit, leaving the cabinet base in place. The vanity was originally installed first right up to the drywall, with ceramic wall tile later run up to it. Now that the old top has been removed, there’s a pocket in the tile where the top had been. I plan to remove a course of tile above where the new top will sit and retile with contrasting tile. Haven’t ordered the new top yet.
Question: Is it better to retile first and measure for and set the Corian top inside of the new tile, or measure for and set the new top to the drywall and retile up to it? Thanks for your help. |
