New Ceramic Tile Forum

I've had a few requests for a Ceramic Tile forum so I thought I would add it to the mix.

Hope everyone enjoys!

Is ceramic tile the right title or should it be Ceramic & Rock Tile or something like that?

I'm just slow... just ask anyone still waiting for me to send them a sticker.

It's just hard to keep up with a full time job and work on this at night. I get behind sometimes. I'm always listening to good ideas though... keep them coming!

Your the moderator here Florcraft... so you call it.

Should it be Tile & Stone, Ceramic Tile & Stone? Just give me the full title and I'll use it (oh great one).

Tile and Stone.

Porcelain is not a ceramic, it IS a tile though.

I am a moderator, and I called it.

Don't make me close this thread

Done!

BTW, I replace your "and" with a "&" just to be a PITA.

I beg to differ on this, but porcelain IS a ceramic-- just using a denser clay, and fired at a higher temp.

Re: New Ceramic Tile Forum

Actually.........

The proper labeling would be:
Ceramic & Stone Tile

And the truth of the matter about porcelain is that porcelain is in fact a form of ceramic, the recipe is slightly different and the firing times can be higher but porcelain tile is still a ceramic tile.

In adition, tile showers and the art thereof, can be very extensive and should also have its own pidgeon hole maybe.
i.e.Tile Showers.

Re: New Ceramic Tile Forum

Florcraft,

If you are going to Moderate this Ceramic & Stone Tile Forum you are going to have to buy yourself a book and get with the program brother.

Don't make us throw you under a bus.

Oh hell I'll probably be banned already for that comment, that's what happened to me over at DIY Forums when I criticized one of their Moderators. That was different though, HE WAS STUPID.

Re: New Ceramic Tile Forum

I know which forums you are talking about Bud.... and it wasn't my DIY forum.

We don't ban people for disagreeing. I'll get with Florcraft and have him rule.

No problem... I just wanted to make sure anyone reading the forum didn't think I treated people like that.

Re: New Ceramic Tile Forum

Sorry guys, but I am thinking like a salesperson.
I HAVE to differ Ceramic and Porcelain, that way I can better communicate to clients.
your right, it is a ceramic, but not the same as typical clay base.

I have been corrected 3 times in how many years?
it happens
