Can anyone point me to software that will allow me to print out my designs (grout lines, tile sizes) and give them to my installers as a blueprint for the field installation.
I never have that much detail. It's up to me for layout based on the design. Sometimes a minor shift in layout makes for a better/easier install. Besides, tile seems to be selected last and by then outlets and other things can't be adjusted for layout.
One thing to consider If you are going to go with a layout in the prints.
you need to have a single master reference line both on the print and premarked on the site.
Everything is referenced off that and you become responsible for poor layout choices.
I have been the tile setter several times with this level of oversight.
Once it was awesome because the architect had the project built from the framing stage to match the finished tile design.
The other times I stuck to the print exactly, after making the builder designate the master line, and because the print did not match the existing site dimensions there were some ugly cuts that showed. Not my problem but there was much Drama before they paid me.
