I like my Ditra flat dammit!

Anyone else here who doesn't like to walk/kneel on their ditra until it's set?

I use pieces of plywood to disperse my weight while I'm floating it in so it doesn't have all those annoying dimples and depressions in it. Is this overkill?

I was watching a tile installer and his was pretty wavy....of course so was his tile.....

I use a thinner mix of versabond and a vinyl floor roller to roll it flat and squish the thinset I usually set right away after I am done.

Don't you wear knee pads? I have never made divots and walk on it right away. On small jobs you can start tiling as soon as you're ready.

I'll have to try that Kev.

As for the knee pads, yes but usually not until I start laying tile.
