Good quality tile hole saws and lockboy hole cutter?

OK guys whats your recommendation on a good set of Tile hole saws?
I don't want no cheap crap that last 5 holes. I want something that will last. I am also looking for the Lockboy hole cutter and cant find this anywhere either.

what's a Lockboy? Any diamond hole saw will work. BUT, if you keep the bit wet it will last a long time.

I used to have a Armeg kit which i might invest in again. Just didnt want to be spending $800 on a tile hole saw kit so soon but the ones i been using last 4-5 holes and they are dead and @ $30 a pop they aint cheap either.

I have used Starrets and they last. I think they cost about $60 +. However, I have bought 15.00 hole saws and as long as I keep it wet it lasts. It might not cut as fast as Starrets but it works. I take a 1x4 and drill the same size hole into the wood then clamp it to the tile. Wet the tile, drill a little, wet the tile, drill, repeat. The pilot bits are worthless imo so I went to the 1x4 system. Now, you just buy the hole saw sizes you need not what the kits make you buy.

Lockboy. Years ago,we had a picture frame clamping device for 4 1/4" tile similair to the lockboy system. Tap out the spot where the hole was to be. Problem was it couldn't do bigger tile. Never tried it on porcelain either.

The granite countertop guys use a hole saw in their grinders which is super fast. They ease the bit down into the material until the hole starts. No pilot bit or guide, just freehand. Pretty impressive.

In 06 I had to cut a Huge number of 2" holes (800+) in very brittle porcelain tile. ArchItic spec'd 19x19 for back splashes in 55 units of a converted historic hotel. The chosen tile was 7/16" thick and so brittle that the only way cut outlet and switches was to slug them twice and clip the nubs.

By far the best cutter was the Dal tool/Rodia http://www.daltool.com/Daltool_Diamond_Bits.htm 450+actualcuts on a single bit. Unfortunately it is not a standard 5/8 thread attachment and the Drill http://www.daltool.com/Daltool_CTD24V.htm is a TOTAL POS so over all I cannot recommend the system.

Here is what I use now http://www.tools4tile.com/servlet/th...-kit%2C/Detail.

Thanks Craig
