Easyboard??

Hey guys,
I have this reno that im working on and im building a custom shower.
there is no drywall at the moment so I have the choice between using cement board, moisture resistand drywall (green board), or this new stuff I found at Home Depot called easyboard. Its awsome to work with and super light
Does anyone see a problem with using that easyboard stuff as a backboard for tile?

The tile size is 2x6 rectangular porcelain

Appreciated,
JAY

never heard of it myself, but I would always reccomend to use a moisture and MOLD resistant backing.

Re: Easyboard??

I just used it for some stucco repair. It was real easy to work with.

Re: Easyboard??

it's definitely great to work with, light and strong when tile is installed on it.

I just wonder why they didn't go the extra distance and make it waterproof.

ohh I remember, they have RedGard.
