Its a little thicker so when you peel, it doesn't tear apart like blue tape.

Thanks Homey.

Here's another'n. 18 x 18 Dal ceramic. Cut on my workhorse MK 101.

Didn't take a close up of the cut, so the crop is a little grainy.

Did you cut that without cracking in the corner?

Yep, I did cut in on the corner that is closest to the edge, but the other corner didn't crack while cutting, or setting.

I'll have to try it. Always hated going back with scraper to get off blue tape under the tile.

Re: Cut Of The Day

Nice cuts!!

Todd is Chewbacca holding that tile for you while you snapped the pic?

Here is one from a kitchen backsplash, 3x6 beveled travertine. Curved glass hood was installed before tile.

Don't ask how long. I should have just taken the hood down.

Tech Dawg - don't I get a plug since that is my job you made that cut on...

For the record, he actually did that twice, not because he messed up, but because there was one on the right side as well. He's being modest....for once!

Re: Cut Of The Day

Greg's diamond cut out wasn't with a wet saw. My copper and niche pieces weren't with a wet saw.

Dan, it's not a competition. Just pics of pieces we felt were hard cuts.

I love this thread too. Great craftsmen at there best. I think this thread should remain pure but someone should start a poll thread for opie. I vote for chimney, WOW!

And cooke who cares, chimney cut it. Your glory should remain in the profit.
