CTI, Minimum Of 2 Years- Geeze

I just finished reading up a bit on CTEF and their Certification. I'm extremely interested in getting this certification but with two years experience I'm quite short (and thats as lead installer ) I was just curious if theres any installers out there from the Suffolk County Long Island area- that may be looking for a helper.
if not well any advice I can get from the forum here would be appreciated...I don't want to be the guy who claims to be an installer and winds up burning someone ya know.

Took a look at the pricing and the classes- definetly looks rough- being that I'm up in Long Island, NY- CTEF is all over the place but I'd be looking at going to Pendleton, SC for about 3-4 weeks worth of classes- and about $8k in classes- def rough...
Home Depot provides reimbursement for College - of course nothing for certifications
Figures...
Any advice? I can see some people have taken a look- hoping for some kind of response here
