Ceramic Over Ceramic?
I have a customer that has tile down on a concrete slab.
I would like to avoid demo. Can I tile over the existing tile? and what prep steps should i take? Please help Last edited by Two Brothers; 07-24-2007 at 11:11 PM. |

Re: Ceramic Over Ceramic?
You can install tile over tile and it is an approved TCA method so long as the tile is structurally sound and free of cracks.
Being that the tile is installed over slab, I'd start fresh and tear out the old tile. A demolition hammer will make the job much easier. Although I have tore out old tile with a sledge and flatbar quite a few times before.
