Re: Any Ideas On How To Light Glass Tile From Behind? IE Does Translucent Thinset Exist?
The outside of the bar is faced in sheets of laminate.
The inside backsplash over the stainless counter in glass tile. Most glass tile manufacturers send a spec along with the material which shows their accepted installation methods. Be sure your tile contractor has experience installing glass mosaics if that's the route you go. There are a number of quirks which go with this material and it can get expensive if you don't know what you're doing.

You could try "side lit fibre optics" hidden under the canopy. If you use it to light the perspex behind the glass tile then you may get the effect you are looking for. It is one continuous light, not dots of light.
Anither way is to use EL cable. they are availabe is rolls similar to tape. Type in either of these into google and see what is available to you where you are. |
