Paver Lights

We don't use paver lights but we just got a service call from a new client who is missing three lenses from hers and a couple are no longer working.

Anything I need to know before I show up and make a fool of myself? How easy is it going to be to find replacement lenses or even fixtures for these?

I would suggest to her that all the bulbs be swapped out for LED equivalents.

I guess that might depend on how old they are.

I went over today to take a look. Two are missing a lid and one is missing completely. They seem to be made by a company called IN-LITE. This is what I found so far: this was suppossed to be a url but apparantly I am not yet worthy of posting urls.
Anyone have a source for them online?

You can find them at (in-lite.com). Apparently I can not do urls either. You must go through "explorer"...do not try to get there through "aol", you will get some wierd results if you do. I am currently working to purchase some deck lights from them for a customer...I will let you know how you can get what you need, as soon as I find out. Best.gd

Let me ask this, if the origanal fixtures are falling apart, why would you want to replace them with the same product? Why not find something better and maybe increase the size of the job with a full replacement to a higher quality product?

Just a thought.

I think the flippant answer is to say "becuase I am in Michigan".

I have up-sold myself out of so many opportunities these past few years that I am reduced to replacing crappy $10 light fixtures with the same crappy $10 light fixtures because that is all people seem to want. Once I have established a relationship with this client I may introduce the concept that there are better ways of doing things than embedding cheap bits of plastic into cheap bits of concrete after which she will no doubt call a handyman from the yellow pages next time a cover comes off.

I hope I don't sound too cynical, it's been a tough year.

On another note, I have contacted three local suppliers of IN-LITES all of whom said they would get back to me with prices etc and non of whom have.

If anyone on this forum has a supplier, wherever it is, let me know. I am spending far too much time on this $15 bit of plastic.

Paul,
I am still waiting to hear back from in-lite...I wonder if the quality of their product has finally caught up with them? I will let you know when and if I hear back from them.

Best,
Gerry
