newbie, here at least :-)

I am a full time landscape lighting designer and installer in the Sacramento, CA area. Avalon and I know each other pretty well, he is a good lighting guy with alot of experiance.

I did my first live demo in 1987 and have been active in low voltage lighting ever since. Landscape lighting has always been the part of landscaping I loved the most and as of a year ago, I changed my company name to The Lighting Geek and shifted to full time lighting. Most people who know me feel the title 'Geek' fits me too well.

I would love to chat with anyone about lighting. The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know.

I am joining LVLIA and getting certified this year, I am also a member of Association of Professional Landscape Designers, APLD, the California Landscape Contractors Association, CLCA, and soon a member of IDA.

I hope to gleen some experience from fellow lighting specialists and maybe I can help a little.

Tommy

Good to see you Tommy. I guess I will get a chance to meet you at the LVLIA conference.

Good for you. I am a landscape designer in the Dallas area. I can show customers how low volage lighting can enhance their surroundings by using digital photos. THAT said, I am totally ignorant as to how it's done. I'd rather sell the project and let the pro's, like you do the bid and install.

Welcome! I'm really pushing LED's as I see them as the wave of the future. We have been working with some prototypes for over a year and I don't understand why we haven't been overtaken by larger co,s.
