Send a message via MSN to jdgent1691@msn.
I am new to low voltage lighting and plan on going to Scottsdale, AZ in January. It's a great way to set yourself apart from the guy jamming in some path lights and up lighting trees and archectecture.

I am not, but I have never heard of it. What will membership do for me? I have a fundamental objection towards belonging to an organization just to say I belong. Do they provide leads?

The LVLIA would, of course, recommend an LVLIA member if a perspective client were to contact them, but they are not a referral service. This is an organization of contractors, manufacturers and distributors that are setting standards for the installation and maintenance of low voltage landscape lighting.
I also do not believe in joining an organization just to say that I am a member, this is why I am actually involved. I am a member of the legislative committee that is trying to keep states from requiring electrical licenses for low voltage outdoor lighting. (IF you are installing landscape lighting, this is something to be aware of. There are several states that now require licenses and others that are looking into it). I believe that all members of any organization should be involved in some way.
