Re: Lighting Companies
Paul,
Is the trend for lighting increasing or decreasing?. licensing an issue? Here in Connecticut you must have an Electrical license to install low voltage. It is very difficult to achieve because out of the six years and 2000 hrs., you have to be working under a licensed electrician and registered as an apprentice. We at Preferred Properties Landscaping have made it through and the years of electrical experience has coupled with our field experience to produce a great product for the consumer. Re: Lighting Companies
hey mulchmadness, you need to work under an electrician to install low voltage lights?? 2000 hours? This doesn't sound right. Is that really the case? Maybe to install line voltage lighting.

Re: Lighting Companies
Hi,
A quick question to lighting landscapers. Do you find it increasingly difficult within your trade when there are so many companies entering the market supplying diy lighting solutions? It appears that a lot of these lighting solutions are really easy to fit yourself. |

Re: Lighting Companies
There are certain people that are going to do it themselves. I find that by talking to people that want to diy, if you give them all the info they should consider, sometimes they start to get overwhelmed with it and hire me. I can't tell you how many times I am either making a DIY project work right, or redoing it entirely because they like the idea of lighting but realize it comes out better when you hire a professional.
