Let's Talk Cable

We have covered connectors, transformers, and fixtures, but what about low voltage cable?

Just how many cable manufacturer's are out there and what is your brand of choice and why?

What,.... no comments. We have read about the Qwire and other tin coated wires, but what else is out there that the newer generation in the lighting business should be aware of ? I am not talking about H.D. or Lowes, but cable carried by the different distributors.

Paige wire is probably the best known brand of wire and is very good. There are many other brands that you can get through distribution or direct if you can buy in large volume. I get a delivery about every 7 or 8 weeks of about 20,000'.

The ONLY cable I carry is Paige...Jacket material is almost 100% pure, that is why it is so pliable. In 13 years of selling Paige I have never had a bad roll, for any reason. Plus Paige is a leader in research and a great resource for our industry.

Paige Wire Is great

I agree Paige is great wire. I used colman for years and then switched to paige. The paige wire is so much easier to work with. Paige also isnt affected by fluctuation in the copper markets because they stock such a large amount of wire.

It's never a good idea to talk about pricing on an open forum.
