Have looked at a wood fence today 4 ft 4x4 post with 6x6 woven wire then two 2x4 rails. The fence is for horses thats reason for the woven. Question is cost for some thing like that new install HO removes old.

Re: Wood Fence Question
Digging the holes is the biggest variable on that. How deep do you want to go? how rocky? Can you auger them? etc...
Other than that, should be easy to estimate... Im getting old, up here I can hand dig 2 4' holes a day... I could probably do more.. but why would I want to? for fences i go 2' to 3' deep. You probably know this, but every foot deeper you go, it gets proportionally harder to dig, 2' is nothing, 3' your working ... 4' sucks. |

Re: Wood Fence Question
we do our fence work pricing by the ft here. we strt at 5.50 for livestock fences and go up to 40.00 for wrought iron. depends on material cost and how labor intense it is
