Tree Removal?

Guy's, how much would you charge to remove a 15' tall Sycamore and grind the stump away?

I find it funny how people will work for basically nothing here! (illegal)

Cut the tree top off at 6 ft
Attach Chain #1 to tree at 5 ft and around the inside of an old tire.
Attach Chain #2 around the inside of the same old tire and attach it to the hitch of a big a$$ loaded truck and pull.

Tree and stump removed, easy.

Post that pinnacle1 is referring to was removed for content.

^ if your husband isnt illegal then why are you offended? If I go to bid a landscape job and I meet with the client and say " no you dont want to do this because of that, and this would look great here, and we could do something nice like this here and still get what you want", then 4 days later I drive by and theres a group of illegals doing the work just how I designed to the customer, being that the keystone wall is now crooked I dont think they hired them because they do a better job than I, should I be offended? point being nobody here is trying to offend anyone It sounds like cole was just sharing an ongoing problem contractors must deal with.

Free meds, education, social security and no taxs . I can't see no reason they shouldn't be able to cut prices on us legal people. But until the people that hire them get a big a## fine, that they must pay before they can continue to operate it will never change. dennis

Re: Tree Removal?

Back to the original question. I called one of my in laws who is an arborist. If he has to climb, limb and top the tree $800, if he can just fall it and cut it up on the ground $650. Stump ground, everything hauled away. But that's a tree service. I'm sure a landscaping company would do it for $200.

Re: Tree Removal?

You have to realize, in the business of landscaping. Its a ton of landscapers running around with little or no experience. In pricing things like this. 95% of them just cut grass and spread mulch. They dont know how to do anything else. Thats why u run into so many of these idiots that beat you out of work because they dont know what the job is worth. They just rent the equipment and say hey at my old job it use to take me 6 hours to make $75. Now i made it in 3 hours sounds good to me . Which to me is chump change. wouldnt even fill my dumptruck up with diesel
