Sealing Flower Boxes?

I built some flower boxes using 1x4 pine boards..What would be the best way to seal the box from the inside to prevent water and soil from seeping though the boards?..
Would roofing felt paper stapled to the inside of the box work?..
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

No it won't. Felt paper actually will wick moisture through if left in a damp condition. I would consider building them out of Azek and gluing all joints with Christy's Red Hot Adhesive. They will be indestructable and decay free forever.

Go with what loneframer said - add some holes & either landscape fabric or something similar

Why not find plastic planter boxes and build the wood box around them so the plastic box doesn't show.

I have several around my place built that way and no rot problems for six years now.

I have both window and pedestal types

You could try a polyurea or polyurathane paint. Sometimes sold as pool paint. For wood you'll need to prime the wood first. Most major paint suppliers have a line and will have a compatible primer. A little expensive but meet your requirements and is very durable.
