Sounds pretty good except for " Our revolutionary approach uses a patented process to surround the wood fibers and each micro-channel in the interior with molecular-thin, layers of glass". Hand out the respirators. It's an interesting concept.

There's already borate treated lumber to compete with ACQ right? Problem is one of these competing products has to take over enough market share so it can be stocked locally and be competively priced.

Dont hold your breath on this stuff, timbersil. They, like all PT products, have to answer to the EPA. Timbersil, unlike ACQ and CA, has not answered the questions EPA is asking. As of this week EPA has told TimberSil to cease operations until otherwise notified.

Gazebos, decks, planters, fences, etc are considered by many to be part of the landscape, so, yes this will help with landscaping.
It's funny how different people think of different definitions for landscaping, but then, there are many specialties within the field. If you look at this thread, you will see that some contractors don't consider landscaping to be contracting, and some installation guys seem to look down on lawn services.

It's not a problem for me...I just thought he might have put it in the wrong forum...And yes I know it's "part" of landscaping..

Timbersil doesn't claim to have borates in it and their base materials are non toxic and on the EPA's list of preferred products that they want manufacturers to use. It looks to be exempt from any EPA regulations to me. I hear that HBP will have the Timbersil product in mass distribution very soon. This looks like the product I am going to use my decks.
