Mulching With Zero Turn Mower

In my grand search for the next mower, and things are more complicated this time, given today's change in quality -- I have heard the observation that most ZT's are mowing, not mulching. Yet their makers supply the mulching kits for them.

Anything slipping be me? Currently I mulch the grass with an older snapper, that goes at a snappers pace, but is straight mowing more popular due sheer speed? Any other hidden reason?

BTW -- those popular hose-adapters on top decks, I would never consider. Who is the rust promoter? I'm seeing those everywhere.

Hosing water=quicker rust=buying next model sooner, when you see the price of replacement decks.
