Lawnmower Blade Question

I have a 3 blade 54" deck, I took the blades off to clean the deck, and sharpen the blades. My question is does it matter what position the blades are in when I put them back on?

Not at all. I hope that you balanced them as well.

Re: Lawnmower Blade Question

yes the first blade should be placed 7 & 1 the second blade 9 & 3 and the third blade 12 & 6.... no it does not matter as soon as the belt slips on the spindles they are in different spot anyways..

They must be balanced on a balancer, or with something fit in the hole.

And they sharp edge must face the same direction of travel again.

So there is a top of the blade. If you flip it upside down, the blunt edge will hammer grass and obliterate it.
