Dethatch, rake it up, then overseed. Repeat as necessary.

What is google, never heard of that before
Anyways what exactly is contractor talk for ?
I always thought it was for chat, camaraderie and HELP when it was asked for, I know I could just look it up on google but what the hey why not ask on the forum, maybe one of the Landscaping guys would have an idea what to do and impart their substantial knowledge on myself and maybe others, maybe I just don't understand what a forum is for, all I know is that if I don't ask I will never know, so guess what, I will ask, not everyone knows everything and there are a lot of talented people that partake in this forum and I am sure are glad to help.
If not I apologize for bothering people.

Uhhhh, dude. I did. Perhaps you missed it?
Dethatch, rake up the creeping charlie, then overseed. Repeat as necessary.
You'll need a small tractor (25 horse tops) with a 3 point hitch and 2 attachments. Probably available at your local rental store. Get one with turf tires if you have a choice.
If you want to do it without paying any money get on your hands and knees and pull it up by hand.

You could just politely ask me to leave.....oh....wait... creeping charlie...
Broadleaf weed killer, such as those with 2,4d will kill it. But it will kill any desirable broadleafs as well. If it's just in the grass, you should be ok with it.
One note on dethatching-make sure you rake up ALL of it thoroughly. If you leave any of the nodes, or they get scattered, they can grow back.
Where is it growing? It likes it moist and shady. If you can cut water and brighten up the area, that will help as well.
