Blade Clutch Quits When Hot

I own a Snapper pro hydro walk behind with a sulkey. The past week when I shut off the blades (blade switch) when the machine is hot I can't get them started again until it cools. All wiring and connections are o.k. and I have jumped all safety switches one at a time and nothing seems to work. I suspect that the electric clutch is starting to fail but would like to know for sure before I replace it. If you've run into this before or know how to troubleshoot an electric clutch I would appreciate it if you would clue me in. I'm not a fan of replacing parts until the problem is solved - troubleshooting is where it's at. I do have a mechanical background with some electrical just not in small engines. Thanks in advance

Re: Blade Clutch Quits When Hot

hate to answer my own post but I have found the problem and will give it for anybody else who runs into this in future. Talked to Snapper Corp this morning and they recommended I check the air gap on the clutch. Supposed to be .012, it was a lot more than that. A feeler guage and ten minutes and it was fixed. Just might save somebody a couple of hundred dollars some day in lost business and repair charges.
