Submittal Stampe
Anyone have a submittal stamp they use to send shop drawings and such to architects for their approval?
Looking for something that notes we have reviewed for compliance with project specs, with a signature block, etc.

Re: Submittal Stampe
Usually the architect is the one stamping them upon return- not the contractor stamping them upon submission (and the stamps seem to contain more an more disclaimers and get bigger and bigger as time has gone on). I'd think the very act of submitting them for approval would serve as acknowledgement that you've reviewed them for compliance with plans/specs- otherwise it's rather irresponsible to submit them for approval, no?

Re: Submittal Stampe
In the commercial stuff I've been involved in, the flow is form the sub/supplier to the GC (me), to the architect. The GC is supposed to sign/stamp to acknowledge that the item submitted meets the project specs.
For example; if the door shops show all the right swings, proper hardware, right size for each door, right quantities to match the design schedule, etc. Then it goes to the architect for their OK. And in the case of color samples and such, they'll note their final selections, etc. I've been on the residential side the last three year, on the developer/builder end, so every came to me and stopped with me... there was no middle step.
